Foods That Worms Eat

One of the best things about havng a wormery is that it really isn’t going to cost you any money once you have it set up. This is because your worms are going to eat the food that you were just going to throw away any how! What could be better.

Worm composting organic food really works the best but as long as it was once vegetation then the worms will eat it. Some of the items that folks usually forget about is used coffee grounds and the coffee filter, cardboard (but not too much) and broken up egg shells.

If you think about just the left over food that was vegetation that you throw away after meals from plates you’ll realize how much you all ready have to offer your worms to eat. Then add in all the peels and rinds etc that you throw away when preparing dinner you’ll realize you have a whole worm harvest every day at your house!

The worm that almost everyone chooses when they have a wormery to make compost for their garden is the red wigglers. This is because they eat quite a bit relative their small size, and then are able to tolerate a very dense population. So you have have tons of them in a small space and each of them is going to eat a lot. This means you have turn as much food as possible into nice nutrient rich compost for your garden this spring! Of course you can also use the compost on flower gardens and even potted plants as well. Yes, you can use the compost inside and not worry about the smell because the red wigglers are going to eat any of the bacteria that would cause odor anyway.

So set up that wormery soon and you’ll have the best plants in the neighborhood this year!

Yesterday, I got an opportunity to attend gardening seminar. My friend was also invited, so we both rushed to the appropriate place. The seminar taught me the basics of how to build a raised garden bed. The seminar was productive and it made gardening much easier for general people. Because, there are many issues that can arise in gardening. But the new technological method is much smarter than traditional gardening. I told my sister, who loves plantation about it. She told me to provide her with detailed knowledge about the topic, so that she can start raising garden bed. I told her look for raised garden bed plans, in this way it will get easier to start from the scratch. I sent her a video presentation related to the topic and also send her some gardening tips, so that she can get started with. My sister is free in the morning, so she can devote time for that. This will also help her in fulfilling her gardening goals, learning about garden beds is not useless and it really is productive for many people.

Their house was attacked by Stink Bugs and they have tried many ways to get rid of them. Their methods really never worked, and this bug seems to continue within and outside of their home, now they feel helpless, not knowing what else to do. In this article I’ll show you three basic methods you use to deal with stink bugs.

First Use hair spray

Yes! Hair spray can be used to kill these bugs. If you see these insects, spray them with your hair spray. If the first attempt is not successful, continue to spray until the bugs fall to the ground. Then the bugs gather on the floor and put them in a bag and throw it awayl, alternatively you can flush the bugs in the toilet.

If your hairspray is not effective, then try different brands until you find one that works.

Second Insecticide

There are many brands of insecticides that are used to try and kill these bugs. If you are unsure what to use insecticide to use, check with your local hardware store before you buy. Alternatively, you can try different brands until you find one really works.

One of the simplest types of lawn aerators is a rolling lawn aerator. I do not recommend that you use the hand push rolling lawn aerators. I do not think that these are very effective at aerating your lawn. But I do like the tow behind rolling aerators that you can tow behind a riding lawnmower. I think that these do an excellent job, and they allow you to cover a watt of round in each turn. They are even faster to use than a machine aerator. A lot of times the width on these is up to 4 feet, so it does not take you a whole lot of time to aerate a large lot. However if you do not have a riding mower, then you are better off renting a machine aerator. Make sure that you get an aerator that will pull cores out of your lawn, since this is one of the most effective and best ways in which you can aerate your lawn.

My Very First Good Home Garden

This year was the first year ever that I was able to very plant a successful garden. I had lived up in the mountains until this spring and had always tried to plant a nice garden, but the trees blocked the light and the soil was very rocky and tough, so the garden never grew very well and all the plants grew very slowly and barely had any produce. But this year I moved to a house in the valley with a large backyard that got a lot of sun. I could control the sunlight much better here with some instant awnings that kept certain areas in the shade. I even invested in a land tiller because I plan on living hear a while and planting many more gardens in the future. I was able to grow lush green plants this time and all the produce was delicious. My only regret is that I did not get to plant my favorite vegetable, cucumbers, or any strawberries, But there’s always next year.
