Making Decisions Which You Know You Will Live

Thursday, August 11th, 2011

You will be shocked to see how moms act when they are asked to go back to work. There are women who stopped working simply because they gave birth and therefore they decided what they are supposed to do is sit back at home to care of their kids. It is such a brilliant idea compared to where you get nannies to take care of your kid. But then, I think mothers tend to love their stay at home because, I wonder why they refuse to go back to their jobs when they are asked to. There is a mother who was so much against the idea of child Benefit cuts and she was saying she cannot accept to go back to work just to get the kids benefits. Living at home and waiting for the husband to bring her supper on a daily basis is what that lady wants and she wouldn’t love going back to the office for anything. Well that is what she decided to do and I guess there is nothing much you can do about it.

Daily Work of a Nurse

Thursday, May 19th, 2011

As a nurse I see a lot of families having to make the decision of what to do with their elderly parents when they an not take care of them anymore. When they ask my professional opinion I tell them that the Corpus Christi Home Care is a great place to start. I always have their brochure in my desk to show them were to call and it gives them an over all view of what they will be dealing with. It is a reputable company and so many families have called me after they have talked to them for pointing them in the right direction. It is a good feeling even though the circumstances are not the greatest. One family stands out the most in my mind ,it was a single parent who already had so many other people to take care of in her daily life and to have help with her father. She was pleased to have so much help when she really needed it.

Rose was sitting at home and reading the paper. She had just finished cooking and sat down to relax. It was very rare for her to take a nap in the afternoon. She preferred to read. She was reading about dhss incapacity benefit. She was very engrossed in it. Just then her daughter came running into the room. She was in a state of panic. She had seen a rat in her room. She was only 7 years old and got petrified when she saw a rat under her bed. She hugged Rose and began to cry. Rose pacified her and told her not to worry about it. She went into the room and looked under the bed. By then the rat had disappeared and hidden someplace else. She had a rat trap in her store room. She asked her daughter to watch the television in the living room, while she went into the store room and found the rat trap. She placed a cube of cheese in it and kept it in her daughter’s room. After that she came and sat down with her daughter in the living room.
